Wi-Fi diagnosis in Ivanhoe & Eaglemont

Wi-Fi keeps dropping out? Find the cause before buying more hardware.

We separate problems with the NBN service, router, placement, interference and coverage, then explain the right next step in plain English.

The symptoms

Does this sound familiar?

Wi-Fi disappears in certain rooms

The connection works beside the router but drops out in bedrooms, the study, outdoor areas or wherever you actually need it.

The connection cuts in and out

Calls freeze, streams buffer and devices disconnect at unpredictable times, even when the internet plan should be fast enough.

Extenders made everything messier

You now have multiple network names, unreliable hand-offs or boosters that need constant resetting without fixing the underlying cause.

Diagnose before buying

Five possible causes. One evidence-based diagnosis.

We test the connection from the NBN service through to the places and devices where the problem appears. That prevents a coverage problem being mistaken for an internet-plan problem, or a router fault being answered with unnecessary Mesh hardware.

NBN service

We establish whether the incoming service is stable enough before changing the home network.

Router

We review the router's condition, capabilities and configuration for obvious faults or constraints.

Placement

We assess whether walls, distance and the router's current position are weakening the signal.

Interference

We look for channel congestion and nearby devices or networks competing for usable signal.

Coverage

We identify the actual weak areas and whether the existing equipment can reasonably serve them.

What is included

Clear scope. No mystery box.

Pre-visit problem review

We clarify where, when and on which devices the dropouts occur so the onsite work starts with a useful hypothesis.

Onsite network assessment

We inspect the NBN connection, router, layout and affected areas in your Ivanhoe or Eaglemont home.

Cause isolation

We distinguish service, equipment, configuration, placement, interference and coverage problems instead of guessing.

Straightforward adjustments

Where appropriate, we make safe configuration or placement improvements that do not require new hardware or extra project scope.

Plain-English findings

You receive a clear explanation of what is happening and which options are proportionate to the problem.

Fixed-price next step

If further work or hardware is needed, we define the project and price separately before you commit.

How it works

From frustrating to understood.

  1. 1

    Show us where it fails

Tell us which rooms, devices and activities are affected and whether the pattern is constant or intermittent.

  2. 2

    We test before prescribing

We work from the NBN service through the router and home coverage so the recommendation follows the evidence.

  3. 3

    Choose the right next step

We explain what can stay, what needs changing and whether no hardware, a router change or a Mesh project is appropriate.

Local, fixed-price scope

Ivanhoe and Eaglemont call-out is included and the $190 GST-inclusive diagnosis is agreed as a project, not an open-ended hourly visit.

Before you book

Frequently asked, fully answered.

Does the $190 guarantee my Wi-Fi will be fixed?

The fixed price covers the agreed diagnosis, straightforward configuration or placement adjustments where appropriate, and a clear action plan. Some faults require ISP work, replacement equipment, cabling or a separate installation project, so we do not promise an outcome controlled by a third party.

Do I have to buy a Mesh system afterwards?

No. Mesh is appropriate when the diagnosis shows a genuine whole-home coverage problem. It is not the right answer for every NBN fault, failing router, configuration issue or small dead zone.

What is included in the $190 price?

The GST-inclusive price covers the local call-out in Ivanhoe or Eaglemont, onsite assessment of the booked Wi-Fi problem, safe straightforward adjustments within scope, an explanation of the cause and a recommended next step.

Is hardware included?

No hardware is included in the diagnosis. If equipment is genuinely needed, it is proposed separately and sold at cost rather than marked up.

What is outside the diagnosis scope?

New hardware, cabling or electrical work, ISP or NBN remediation, Mesh installation and unrelated device troubleshooting are separate projects if required.

Can I book the diagnosis without committing to further work?

Yes. The diagnosis is a complete fixed-price project with no obligation to proceed with Mesh hardware or another installation.
