New phone or tablet? Move what can be moved without losing control of your accounts.
We set up one customer-supplied new device and use the supported same-ecosystem transfer path from one working unlocked phone or tablet, with you beside us and in control of every credential.
One person. One working source. One new destination.
The standard fixed visit covers a supported Apple-to-Apple or Android-to-Android move. Peter confirms compatibility, access and the likely transfer path before the appointment.
The $390 visit is designed for
One person with one working and unlocked source device
One compatible customer-supplied new phone or tablet
A supported Apple-to-Apple or Android-to-Android transfer
Customer access to the required personal account and device unlock methods
Existing working Wi-Fi and ordinary supported personal-device use
Separate quote, provider or specialist work
→Android-to-Apple or Apple-to-Android cross-platform moves

Set up beside you
Your accounts and unlock codes stay in your hands.
You enter every password, PIN and authentication code. The visit follows supported transfer tools, checks representative data and records anything that must continue or be reauthenticated afterwards.
What is included
A supported move and an understandable handover.
Compatibility and prerequisite check
We confirm the devices, ecosystem, working source, available access and supported transfer path before changing the new device.
Core new-device setup
We connect the destination to the existing Wi-Fi, apply essential supported updates where practical and guide you through personal account sign-in.
Supported same-ecosystem transfer
We start and supervise the manufacturer-supported Apple-to-Apple or Android-to-Android path for one source and one destination.
Security, backup and find-device settings
We configure supported screen lock, biometrics, backup and find-device features with your approval and customer-controlled recovery material.
Representative checks
We check appropriate contacts, photos, messages, apps, connectivity and ordinary device functions without promising that every item or app record can transfer.
Written handover
You receive unfinished downloads, reauthentication steps, provider dependencies and the instruction to retain the old device until you have checked the move.
How it works
Move, check and keep the source safe.
1
Confirm the supported move
Tell us the source and destination models, whether the old device works and unlocks, and what information matters most.
2
Transfer and configure beside you
We use the supported path while you enter credentials and approve security, privacy, backup and find-device settings.
3
Check representative data and retain the old device
We review ordinary functions and key data, record what is still downloading or needs provider action, and leave the source unerased for your own final checks.
Before the move
Phone and tablet questions, answered.
What does the $390 visit include?+
The GST-inclusive price covers local call-out in Ivanhoe or Eaglemont and up to two hours onsite for one person, one working unlocked source and one compatible customer-supplied new destination, using a supported same-ecosystem transfer plus core setup, representative checks and a written handover.
Will every photo, message, app and password transfer?+
No. Transferability depends on the devices, operating systems, app publishers, account state and cloud services. We use the supported path and check representative data, but some apps and accounts require reauthentication or manual provider steps.
Can you move from Android to iPhone or iPhone to Android?+
Cross-platform moves vary materially in what can transfer, so they are not included in the standard fixed visit. Peter can assess the devices and provide a separate fixed quote when the transition is supportable.
Do you activate the SIM, eSIM or move my phone number?+
We can identify the official carrier pathway, but activation, eligibility, number porting and outages remain controlled by the mobile provider and are not guaranteed or included as an outcome of the standard visit.
Can you set up myGov or online-banking access?+
No. myGov and banking access, recovery and identity verification must use the official provider channel. Naked Tech does not ask for banking PINs, card security codes or government identifiers.
Will you erase or trade in my old device?+
No. You keep the source device unerased until you have independently checked the new device and any continued downloads or app sign-ins. Erasure, disposal and trade-in are outside the standard visit.
Prefer to write?
Tell Peter about the old and new devices.
Include the source and destination types, whether the old device works and unlocks, and whether the move stays within Apple or Android. Do not send PINs, passwords, codes, banking details or government identifiers.
