Peter checks one existing personal email account on one supported device, makes safe straightforward changes within scope and explains the next practical step when your email provider must act.
→Additional accounts or devices, a new account, business or organisation-managed email, mail-server or DNS administration
→Provider outages, server-side faults, recipient or spam-filter decisions, or restoration of permanently deleted email
→A wider Wi-Fi or network fault, or unsupported operating systems and obsolete email software
Your account stays in your hands
Calm help, with you in control.
You keep control of passwords and verification codes while Peter checks the agreed email setup beside you.
What is included
What the visit can cover.
Problem and recent-change review
The visit starts by confirming what is happening and anything that changed before the problem began.
Connection and mailbox checks
Internet access, mailbox status and relevant storage limits are reviewed.
App, browser and provider settings
The agreed mail app or browser is checked against available official provider settings, including customer-controlled junk or filter settings where relevant.
Straightforward configuration
Safe settings and synchronisation changes are completed for the existing accessible account where appropriate.
Send-and-receive testing
A practical test is completed where the account and provider allow it.
Outcome and next step
You receive an explanation of what was completed and any action owned by you, the provider or separately scoped support.
How it works
A quick check, then onsite help.
1
Talk it through with Peter
Call or send a quick enquiry. You will receive a response within one business day and complete a short phone suitability check before booking.
2
Check the email setup onsite
The agreed account and device are checked for up to 60 minutes. You enter all passwords, recovery details and verification codes yourself.
3
Test or agree the next step
Completed work is tested and the outcome is explained. Anything beyond scope pauses for a separate fixed-price quote or referral; there is no automatic hourly overrun.
Before you enquire
The important questions, answered.
What does the $190 price include?+
The GST-inclusive price covers local Ivanhoe or Eaglemont call-out and up to 60 minutes onsite for the agreed personal email problem. It covers assessment and troubleshooting, not a guaranteed fix, and still applies when the provider controls the outcome. Further work requires a separate fixed quote or referral.
Which accounts and devices are supported?+
The visit covers one existing personal email account on one device running a currently supported version of Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS or Android, using one supported mail app or current browser. Business domains, organisation-managed Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, mail servers, DNS, employer-managed accounts and managed work devices are excluded.
What if I cannot sign in?+
You must know the existing password or be able to complete the provider’s normal verification process. You enter all sensitive details yourself. Password recovery, lost multi-factor authentication, locked accounts and identity-verification disputes controlled by the provider are outside this visit.
What if I think the account was hacked?+
Suspected scams, unauthorised access, unfamiliar forwarding rules or wider device compromise need the separate Scam & Account Security Assessment rather than the standard email visit.
What about storage, missing mail or provider problems?+
The visit can identify a full mailbox and explain available options, but you purchase or manage any storage plan yourself and email is deleted only with your explicit direction. Provider outages, server-side faults, provider spam filtering, recipient-delivery decisions and restoration of permanently deleted email are excluded.
When is email help available?+
Enquiries are answered within one business day. Appointments are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, subject to availability. Remote-control support, same-day attendance, after-hours, weekend and emergency response are not offered.
Prefer to write?
Tell Peter what your email is doing.
A sentence or two is enough. Include the provider, device and mail app or browser, and say whether messages will not send, receive or sync, or what you are trying to set up. Include a phone number so the short suitability call can be arranged, especially if email replies may not reach you. Do not send passwords or verification codes. You will receive a response within one business day.
