Printer help · Ivanhoe & Eaglemont

Printer won’t print, scan or stay connected?

Peter troubleshoots one existing household printer with one primary computer or mobile device, completes safe straightforward actions within scope and explains the next practical step if hardware or provider action is needed.

A clear starting point

Does the $190 printer visit fit?

You do not need to diagnose the fault yourself. A short suitability call confirms the details before an appointment is booked.

A good fit

  • One existing household printer with one printing, scanning or connection problem
  • One primary supported Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS or Android device
  • Home Wi-Fi that otherwise works, or a direct USB connection
  • A compatible manufacturer driver or application is still available

Needs a different scope

  • Unpacking and installing a new printer, or connecting extra printers or devices
  • A wider Wi-Fi or router fault rather than a printer-specific connection problem
  • Discontinued equipment without compatible manufacturer software
  • Commercial copiers, specialist printers, managed work devices or network print servers
  • Hardware repair, provider-controlled account recovery, subscription issues or service outages

Onsite, with your equipment

See the problem where it happens.

The printer, connection and primary device are checked together, followed by a test or an explanation of the next practical step.

What is included

What the visit can cover.

Fault and recent-change review

The visit starts by reviewing what is happening and anything that changed before the problem began.

Printer condition checks

Power, status, error messages and safely accessible physical connections are checked.

Wi-Fi or USB diagnosis

The agreed connection between the printer and primary device is assessed.

Device and software checks

Print queues, operating-system settings and supported manufacturer drivers or applications are reviewed.

Straightforward actions

Safe reconnection, reconfiguration, accessible jam clearing, built-in maintenance routines or reseating customer-supplied consumables where applicable.

Testing and next step

If restored within scope, the visit includes one test print and, for a multifunction printer, one scan test, followed by an explanation of any remaining action.

How it works

A quick check, then onsite help.

  1. 1

    Talk it through with Peter

Call or send a quick enquiry. You will receive a response within one business day, and suitability is confirmed before booking.

  2. 2

    Diagnose the printer onsite

The agreed printer, connection and primary device are checked for up to 60 minutes. You enter any administrator or manufacturer-account credentials yourself.

  3. 3

Test or agree the next step

Completed work is tested and the outcome is explained. Anything beyond scope pauses for a separate fixed-price quote or repair referral; there is no automatic hourly overrun.

Before you enquire

The important questions, answered.

What does the $190 price include?

The GST-inclusive price covers local Ivanhoe or Eaglemont call-out and up to 60 minutes onsite for the agreed printer problem. It covers assessment and troubleshooting, not a guaranteed repair, and still applies if replacement, provider action or separately scoped work is required.

Which printers and devices are supported?

The visit covers one existing household printer and one primary device running a currently supported Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS or Android environment, provided the manufacturer still offers compatible software. Home Wi-Fi must otherwise work, or the printer must use direct USB.

What if the problem cannot be completed onsite?

You receive an explanation of the finding and practical next step. Follow-up receives a separate fixed-price quote or repair referral. Ordinary configuration of an existing accessible manufacturer account may be included while you enter your credentials. Account creation or recovery, subscription purchase or management, service outages and bypassing account or device controls are excluded.

When is printer help available?

Enquiries are answered within one business day. Appointments are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, subject to availability. Remote-control support, same-day attendance, after-hours, weekend and emergency response are not offered.

Prefer to write?

Tell Peter what your printer is doing.

A sentence or two is enough. Include the printer make and model, primary device and whether it uses Wi-Fi or USB. Add your phone number if you prefer a call, but do not send passwords or authentication codes. You will receive a response within one business day.
